Is he trying to threat the local Telangana government and local film makers by making such comments? That is what the doubt that one would get after observing ace producer Daggubati Suresh Babu ‘s latest comments on shifting film industry to Andhra. What actually he said? Here is the story..check this out.
This ace producer bounced a thought that in the next five years to come it will be decided at what new places Tollywood take its base. Contrary to vision of people like Nagarjuna, our influential producer has something else to say; of course it’s about a paradigm shift.
‘These days technology is making wonders. Every director is able to shoot his film at his home itself due to this advancement. They can edit, grade, dub and re-record at their own place. This makes sure that film industry need not be concentrated at one place’, said Suresh Babu, hinting that he go Vizag on his mind. Earlier Nagarjuna felt that it takes years to build something like a Tollywood in Hyderabad. But if we see it from technological aspect, it doesn’t take much time to bring up new-studios at new places.
Extending his attack on politics being played in Telugu industry in Hyderabad in the name of ‘bifurcation’, Suresh said, ‘If petty fights are happening over silly things, and then surely no one likes to stay here (Hyderabad). Only in our state and in our film industry, these kinds of politics exist’. But he doesn’t totally take away the idea of keeping film-industry intact at one place. ‘For the sake of cine-workers, we wish Tollywood to stay at one place. Otherwise, shifting is no big deal’, he concluded.
It is interesting to see ,what rest of the producers and the other film fraternities would like to comment on this. And it will be more interesting to see, how would the chief minister of Telangana KCR, would react to Suresh Babu’s comments. Does Film industry really fall apart?
