Victory Venkatesh’s latest outing “Drushyam” has picked up its collections now and look to collect huge sums at this weekend. Word of mouth is quite positive for the movie and family audiences are getting enthralled by the movie’s interesting concept and gripping narration. And these developments fetched the flick an astronomical sum when it comes to satellite rights too.
As per the latest buzz, we heard that ” Drishyam ” managed to bag around 5.50 crores from Gemini TV for satellite rights. Though there were many demands earlier for satellite rights, producer Suresh Babu has kept every deal on hold as he wants to bargain the figures only after movie’s release. Like he anticipated, Drishyam turned decent hit at box office and is registering fantastic figures each passing day. This led Gemini to close the deal at a best price of 5.50 crores.
Cine observers say that Suresh Babu’s businessman skills have made this flick a table-profit venture and the satellite rights speaks about it all. On a whole Drishyam collected around 6.1 crores share worldwide in its first weekend and it is expected to settle for around 15-20 Cr in its full run.
Which should really ease some pressure that has been increasing on Venky since a long time now. Not its time for us to wait for Gopala Gopala to watch Venky ,yet again in a powerful role.
