Actress Mallika Sherawat makes her debut as a playback singer with her upcoming film ‘Hisss’ and she is teamed up with John Lennon’s son Julian to record one of the songs.

Mallika has recorded her voice singing two different songs. The first of the songs is composed and arranged by Julian Lennon, son of John Lennon from the iconic rock band The Beatles. Upon mixing of the track, the song will be sent to Mr. Lennon for approval.

The second track Mallika recorded is arranged by German composer Alexander Von Bubenheim who provided the background score for ‘Hisss’.

isaka Talkies banner bought the Telugu rights of ‘Resident Evil’ directed by Paul W S Anderson and produced by Columbia Films banner. The trailers of the film were released actress Jeevita at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad.
Later she said, “The trailers of this film are excellent. My children are awaiting the film’s release. Natti Kumar is a successful producer who is dubbing the films of neighbouring languages and releasing in AP theaters, now bringing the international films. Despite having tough competition, he succeeded in buying the film’s rights.”
Natti Kumar said, “Resident Evil will be released in theaters worldwide on September 10th. In Andhra Pradesh, the movie will be released in English, Telugu and Hindi languages with 160 prints. We are releasing the 3D version in theaters like Prasad Imax, GVK, PVR, Cinemax and Adlabs in Hyderabad.”

Actress Asin Thottumkal shocked her best friend Sridevi when she declined a plum offer made by the latter’s husband, filmmaker Boney Kapoor.

In Bollywood, Sridevi and Boney are like Asin’s Godparents, because when she was alone in the city and living in their building, the couple really took care of her. We have seen Sridevi sending home-cooked food for Asin and also constantly checking if she needed any help in Mumbai. So, when Boney approached Asin with the film, he never expected to hear a no. The industry grapevine is also buzzing with gossip that this decision might hamper the relationship that Asin and Sridevi share.

Actress Shruti Haasan suffered a minor injury on Sunday while shooting for Murugadoss’s upcoming film 7am Arivu(means 7th sense). For the first time Shrutii has been sharing screen space with star hero Suriya.

The singer-actress tweeted about the incident on her micro-blogging page: “Hectic shoot today!! suffered my first share of stunt injuries for 7am arivu today, nothing serious! but def. annoying ..*ouch* (sic).”

Shruti was performing a risky stunt scene on the busy Velachery- Tambaram road when the accident happened. Luckily for the actress, the injury wasn’t major; she had apparently injured her elbow while shooting the scene.

Later, Shruti also tweeted about her co-star Suriya who had rushed to her help following the accident. “Surya is a super supportive co-star ready with magic medication and lots of concern!”

7am Arivu sees the return of the superhit Ghajini team of director A R Murugadoss, Suriya and music director Harris Jayaraj.

Anushka’s films seems to be rising there after Arundati’s success. In this line her next film ‘Panchakshari’ is now getting ready to hit screens shortly. Titled ‘Panchamukhi’ in Tamil, producers S P Charan and Venugopal are dubbing the film. It was originally directed by V Samudra and produced by Nag’s personal make-up man Chandra. Debut actor Samrat essayed the male lead opposite Anushka.

Ayyangar International’s Tamil film ‘Angadi Theru’ is currently being dubbed into Telugu as ‘Shopping Mall’ by producer Suresh Kondeti under SK Pictures banner. To be presented by Santosh Studios Pvt Ltd., the film featuring Mahesh and Anjali was directed by Vasanthabalan.

Now the interesting news is that the heroine Anjali is dubbing her own voice for the Telugu version too. Although her mother-tongue is Telugu, she was born and brought up in Chennai. It seems that she took it as a challenge and dubbed her own voice. Right now the dubbing is progressing at Chennai. It is learnt that Suresh Kondeti is taking enough care to give the audience a feel of watching a straight film.

Dialogues are penned by Sashank Vennelakanti and music is rendered by Vijay Antony and GV Prakash Kumar. The film is expected to release in September.

New flick Mangala is shaping under the direction of Osho Tulasiram and the mail lead is Charmi It’s very unfortunate that she had to take a break from shooting due to leg injury during the climax shooting. This movie is incidentally the 2nd movie being made in the combination of Charmi and Osho Tulasiram.

Charmi injured while shooting for her latest movie “Mangala”. Charmi is currently shooting for climax scene of ‘Mangala’ directed by Tulasiram. This one is another lady oriented movie in Charmi’s career. While shooting the climax scene charmi’s leg got injured on the sets. Movie expected to be release in September. Dhrama Teja, son of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s sister will soon make his debut in Tollywood. He will debut under the direction of YVS Choudhary. Titled as “Rey” and will be produced by YVS Choudhary banner “Bommarillu Vaari”. This will be the production no 5 of the banner.

He will be paired with miss earth 2006, Amruta Patki and model Shubra Aiyappa. Chakri will provide tunes for this movie. Shooting of this film will start on October 1st.
